I love calendars and planners in January. There are so many empty days and plenty of space in which to plan and dream.
The news keeps screaming that 2010 is the year of growth and recovery. Regardless of whether this is truth or fiction, opportunities are always out there.

It’s been an unbelievable first year for my little company. I’m so glad that the need I saw out there has turned into a sustainable and growing business.
Thank you to the clients and helpers who made this first anniversary possible. I look forward to continuing and building our relationships over the next year.

In order to be more accommodating and flexible to our clients’ needs, I am now accepting on-location assignments for Sundays. I know I haven’t posted a blog entry in a while. I’m very lucky to have been extremely busy since the beginning of the year.
With the economic downturn, businesses, especially small businesses, are being more aware of how they spend their money. A service like mine benefits from these choices.
I will try to be more diligent in being more productive here and keeping everyone informed.

On this first day of 2009, I’m optimistic.
The economic downturn no longer has people in shock. There’s a level of acceptance that is allowing everyone to adapt and think through his/her situation.
Detour Services had a promising 2008, and I’m looking forward to bigger and brighter for this year. The company will be changing its focus a bit though.
Through these few short months of operation, I’ve discovered what I like to do, and what people want me to do for them. Over the month of January, the look and message of Detour will be changing.
Don’t worry though. Detour Services is a company that helps. If you have a need, please don’t hesitate to call. As long as it is legally and ethically sound, we’ll see how we can lighten your load.
